Cacao Carob Latte

I am a complete caffeine head, not going to lie, it is my drug of choice. However, sometimes, with the insomnia and jitters, I need to take a step back. Like everything, everything in moderation. 

I do not plan to kick this habit, but sometimes replacing my afternoon fix with something less buzzing, i opt for a cheeky R.Y.E instead. Think a chocolaty, vanilla cuppa of awesomeness.  

Carob is a great caffeine free replacement for the afternoon. If you are trying to cut back but cannot cut back on the ritual, try my Cacao Vanilla carob latte.

Ingredients 200ml Almond Milk 150ml water 1cm Vanilla Pod or 3 drops Essence 2 teaspoons Ground Carob sprinkle Ground Cacao Agave - optional   Directions 1. Heat almond milk on stove on medium high heat. you dont want it to boil over. 2. Use hand whisker until frothy 3. Scrap 1cm of vanilla pod seeds into milk or add the vanilla essence. 4. In mug, mix ground carob and hot water together to create your "latte shot" 5. Pour frothy almond milk over the top. 6. Sprinkle cacao 7. Drink and enjoy.
